@Pilgramers invited us to attend the Creative Connect Instameet in Atlanta last Wednesday (July 8th, 2015).
“Our purpose this summer is two-fold. We are filming a new web series to capture stories of creative communities that are actively collaborating together and thriving because of it. The goal is to show the value of creating art and doing life together instead of alone.”
“Second, we recognize not everyone has access to this kind of community. We’ll be hosting events to unite creatives of all types (photographers, graphic designers, painters, musicians, entreprenuers, and more) in each city.”
“We are the movers and shakers of our generation, the dreamers and the doers. We can do so much more together than we can by ourselves. We crave collaboration over competition. By colliding creatives, professionals, and entrepreneurs on parallel career paths, we hope to unite inspiring project needs with passionate people who can fill these needs.”
@Pilgramers are currently harnessing the power of social media (Instagram in this case) to foster creative collaborations around the world.
In this beautiful shot of @speckles_ taken in Piedmont Park, we are able to compare and contrast the direct difference between reality as perceived in the spectrums of visible and infrared light.
The multi-colored paisley print on @speckles_‘s blouse, green foliage and magentas of the flowers & her lipstick all disappear in lieu of a celeste blue indicating reflected infrared light.
The blue afternoon sky is replaced by a sepia-toned atmosphere responsible for the absorption of infrared light as a means to protect the earth from cosmic radiation.
It was a great opportunity to meet like-minded individuals, share ideas and spread our infrared perspectives with fellow creative Atlantans.
We feel nothing but love to these guys for embarking on such a beautiful project.
Shout out to the refrigerator that trickled out drinking water slower than an IV drip. What more could you want after a brisk, 5km bike ride?
